On the morning of October 30th, Suzhou Yisheng Optical Materials Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new project. The new project aims at the production of photovoltaic polymer materials and is planned to be constructed in two phases. The total investment for the first phase is 2.518 billion yuan, and the total investment for the second phase is 2.488 billion yuan. It is expected that after the project reaches full production capacity, an additional 620 million square meters of production capacity will be added.

The foundation of Yisheng Optics' new project base means that the company will enter a new stage of development in technology research and development, capacity improvement, product level, and other aspects. The company's general manager Cui Genxiang stated that after the completion of the new project, Yisheng's overall production capacity and supporting capabilities will be further enhanced, and it will also lead the next stage of development in the industry's segmented market. With the construction and completion of the new project base, the company will further focus on new technologies, directions, and trends in the photovoltaic and consumer electronics industries, deepen scientific research cooperation with relevant universities, and achieve new breakthroughs in the core technology innovation of Yisheng backboards, adhesive films, and GPUs.

At the ceremony, Yisheng New Materials Research Institute unveiled its plaque. As a research-oriented platform focused on innovative research and industrialization of polymer materials, Yisheng New Materials Research Institute has established good cooperative relationships with numerous universities and research institutes in China, with more than 40 domestic and foreign invention patents, filling the gaps in many fields in China.

Adhere to the principle of "materials change life" and strive to build a bright and clean modern life. With the commencement of new projects, the company has also set strategic goals for the next three years: to achieve a film production capacity of 350 million m ² by 2024, 480 million m ² by 2025, and 590 million m ² by 2026. The R&D investment of the New Materials Research Institute will exceed 160 million yuan, and the number of R&D personnel will reach 120, with doctoral and master's degrees accounting for 20% and 25% respectively, striving to become one of the top in the industry as soon as possible.
